Morning staff members were very friendly and Amy was extremely helpful with assisting me with navigating my way while in town. There is a spacious free parking lot available directly across from the hotel and plenty of around the clock security provided by the hospital next door. Shops, eateries and stores are conveniently located in walking distance just a couple of blocks from the hotel. Downtown and the French Quarter are not far. The hotel was clean and surprisingly provides a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, real plates, silverware and drinking glasses in the room. There was plenty of closet and drawer space and the room provided plenty of lighting even for reading in bed. The lobby and back yard areas wrre good for hanging out, there’s and outdoor pool.

The Alder is a fabulous hotel located in a pleasant area just outside the city centre. A ten minute stroll down Napoleon av. takes you to the tram stop for the St Charles av. route into the city. The walk down Napoleon felt very safe even at night. The free parking at the Alder was a huge bonus and very welcome and it could potentially save you almost $40 a night compared to other hotel's parking charges. Everything about the hotel was good, the room size, the view, the facilities and the service on reception was outstanding. Every single person on the desk was helpful and curteous. A special mention must go to Amy who is an absolute star! She gave us so much advice and was a mine of information! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to N.O.

The room was clean and comfortable. We arrived in town a day early for a cruise. We found the hotel easily. Check-in was super easy and the desk clerk was very nice. We were immediately greeted by a parking lot attendant who took our information and gave us the ticket. On the way out, we ran into a DoorDash employee so we asked about good spots to eat. He recommended the Burger Company and Chicken and Watermelon. We chose the latter. It was a Wednesday night so we were able to take advantage of the wing special. Hotel was a quick trip to cruise port. Will definitely stay here again. We arrived after 8 PM but we felt super safe.

The front staff were exceptional, and very friendly. We recognized the comfort of the hotel, just from her warm greeting,at check in.I checked in,with my family, and everything went very smooth. This is a place I don't mind spending my money, I was truly impressed by their cleanliness, staff, comfort, security, and the parking is owned by the hotel. They have security 24 hrs.,and very safe to walk. Everything is in walking distance. Overall,I give them 2 thumbs up,
